My fiancé and I bought a new house in September, we started cleaning the house in August and cleaned in September. We aired it out good, painted, and put all new carpet in a few rooms the rest is all hard wood flooring. The people who lived here prior had cats and didn t take care of them (that s why we cleaned for 2 months and replaced carpet). Once October came it got chilly so we turned the heat on low, a week or two later our dog started itching. We have taken him to the vet 3 times now, thought he had mange but he has been scraped for everything 3 times now by two different vets. He does great until we start weaning him off the meds slowly he goes right back to itching horribly again where it turns raw and bleeds from scratching so much. After a couple months of him itching my fiancé and I started itching. We have changed the dogs food bought all new bedding and sheets for him. I bought new detergent once we started itching and I have washed everything in my house with free and clear detergent and nothing has changed. When my fiancé and I start itching it turns into small red bumps somewhat looking like bites. we haven t used any kind of scented body wash and lotions at all. We have used Aveeno body wash and lotion with oatmeal in it. It seemed to help here and there but then a day later were itching again. It is becoming so bad and miserable. My fiancé and I are itching in all the same areas (Sides, Back, Chest, Stomach, certain areas on our legs, arms, arm pits, tops of feet) We aren t itching constantly in all of these areas but it feels like once im done itching in spot then it stops, I start itching another spot later on. We started keeping our dog at my moms to see if its something in out new house but it has only been 3 days that he hasn t been here. I don t know what else to do, please help me? The only thing in our new house that hasn t been thoroughly cleaned is the base board heating vents. What should I do? Any advice?
