What Causes Itching Sensation And Soreness In Vagina After Having Intercourse?

Me and my boyfriend had sex 2 days ago and it was my second time having sex. After my first time, I never had discomfort in my vaginal area and everything was okay. The second time, afterwards I woke up the next day and was a little itchy and sore. I know he s clean cause he was tested and didn t have anything. We also didn t use protection. But I just wanna know if it s anything to worry about, or if it s normal. We also went way longer than the first time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com!

I really appreciate your concern. Itching and soreness could be due to friction to vaginal wall during sexual intercourse. Lack of vaginal secretions and lubrication could be the main cause. For this you can use condoms or lubrication gel available in market. You can spend more time for foreplay which leads to vaginal secretion and lubrication. You can use vaginal wash available in the market for vaginal hygiene.

Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.

Thank you.

Best Regards.
