What Causes Itching On Arms After Getting Cordisone Injection?

I have psoriasis (severe in my scalp) and was just at my Dermatologist office. He injected the areas with cordisone in my scalp and arms and legs. I began to itch very badly in my arms and I am not sure why. It has subsided now as I applied a topical cordisone cream. I ve had these treatments before so why now?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having irritant dermatitis at injection site.
My treatment advice is -
1. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
2. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching.
3. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
