What Causes Itching, Irritation In Vagina And Burning Sensation In Tongue?
I ve been experiencing for the last four days very bad itching and irration of the Vagina and a burning sensation of the tongue but before all this started happening I went to a doctor because I hadn t been feeling well so he time a urine test and said I had an infection so he proscribed me antibiotics called Germentin and told me to take one three times a day for a week so I did but since then all this has been happening can t sleep and it is driving me crazy I m only 21 should I be experiencing this

At the age of 21, itching with irritation of vagina indicates underlying vaginal infection through some sort of bacteria or fungi; burning tongue might be due to vitamin deficiency as B 12 or folic acid likely. There are various causes of the same as:
- Lack of vaginal hygiene
- Tampon induced staph infection during menses
- Lack of hydration causing urinary tract infection
- Sexual activity related or transmitted infection (as trichomonas, chlamydia or others) if sexually active
- Low immunity following some inflammation in the body due to various reasons. The management aspect would cover:
- Vaginal hygiene at its best
- Avoidance of vaginal, anal or oral sex (if involved)
- Plenty of liquids
- Prescription of necessary antibiotics and anti fungal medications as per your OBGYN doctor.
