What Causes Itching And Swelling In The Urethra?

Hello my 21 year old son just sent me a msg in regards to his pens. He states his urethra is swollen. He says he got like a rug burn he has no symptoms of pain or itching it s just red and swollen . He is a physical trainer and sweats a great deal can it be from him sweating so much or just irritated. What can he apply to this area?

Hi,

Sounds as to be an issue of balanitis involving the infection of the foreskin of the penis.

Primary relief with ice application and Polymycin cream will be there.

But he requires the prescription of antibiotics as ampicillin or else with anti-inflammatory drugs as ibuprofen or else to resolve the issue faster.
