What Causes Itching And Light Sensitivity In The Eyes?

for the last 36 hours I have had a very scratchy left eye and both eyes seem to be light sensitive, when I called my eye doctor they thought it might be dry eye, most of today I seem to have a runny nose but only in the left nostril, is there any correlation between the two??? Allergies??

it appearsto be viral conjuctivitis. it is mainlly adenovirus and self limiting. notreatment is required. apply refresh eye tear eye drop and take vit c. apply nasibion nasal droptake tablet levocetrizine 5mg in morning.
