What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation In Nose Along With Nasal Scabbing?

Hi I have had for a few days now a burning and itchy feeling inside my nose. It will crust over with sort of yellow color and then when I peel it of it reveals raw skin. It's spread to the other nostril and is now partially on the outside. Very painful. Any help is appreciated!

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain itching and burning sensation inside the nostrils along with crusting seems to be due to bacterial infection and might be due to Impetigo..
It can also be due to viral infection that is herpes..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and nasal swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case of bacterial infection oral as well as nasal antibiotic ointment can be advised..
You can also be advised to do saline nasal irrigations and also apply Petroleum jelly inside the nostril..
In case of viral infection oral and topical anti viral medications like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir etc can be advised..
