What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation In Fractured Toe?
I broke my toe on my right foot the one next to the pinky toe 3 weeks ago. The exray showed a fracture under the joint. I have been buddy wrapping my to the one next to it. it itches and burns and loos swollen still. Should I keep my toe buddy wrapped at all times and why is it itching?
Hello I appreciate your concern You need to keep it strapped together or to apply a foot cast for immobilisation of the toe
I would advise you to take complete bed rest and keep the affected limb elevated (at higher level, you can keep it by placing a pillow underneath it)
Itching can be related to swelling or tight wrapping Don't move it much otherwise the fractured portion may get displaced. You should release it for while, keeping your foot in neutral position
Hope this helps you Get well soon regards
