What Causes Itchiness All Over The Body During Pregnancy?

Hi my wife is 36 weeks pregnant and she's having itching all over her thighs,back,palms,feet and stomach, Dr has adviced her piritone and also done her blood test all reports are normal but even after taking piritone itching has'nt stop. may we know what exact cause of itching? Thanks.
