What Causes Irregular Vaginal Bleeding Despite Taking Ipill After Sex?
Hello doctor... My girlfriend and I had protected sex on 1 May.It wasn t even sex as I inserted just the head and she was in pain. But I found the condom broke from the side(not the head which was inserted). She took an ipill within 24 hours. On first two days she had drops of blood. On 10 May there was slightly heavy bleeding for two days. And today on 15may she is having a white discharge. Is there any chance of pregnancy? Ps:Her period date is 26 of every month
Pregnancy is unlikely. Slight menstrual irregularities and spotting is quite common with hormonal pills like Ipill.
Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. If you are worried you can go for a urine pregnancy test(UPT) to confirm whether you are pregnant or not.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
