General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you are having bleeding after abortion, you should get clinically assessed by a OBGYN. If any broken pieces of placenta is left in the uterus, your OBGYN should remove it, to stop bleeding & spread of infection & toxicity. You may need antacids, iron tabs, methergine. You should take the prescribed medicines under your treating doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
