What Causes Irregular Periods Despite Taking Unwanted-72 After Having Sex?

I had last mens on 7 of Nov.....on 20 Nov I had unprotected sex and within 20 hours I took unwanted 72.....I got my period on 2 Dec to 5 Dec....which is of just three days unlike 5 days which is normal for me......yesterday evening my period stopped....but now today again bleeding started....is this sign of pregnancy??

Hi,

You took unwanted 72 with in 20 hour and it is highly effective in preventing pregnancy. It is 95-98% effective in preventing pregnancy.You got period for 3 days. So in presence of pregnancy it is due to hormonal imbalance caused by pill.

Implantation bleeding is just like spotting and only for 1-2 days. So do not worry. It is due to hormonal imbalance. Consult gynecologist if period will not stops in next 7 days. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, maintain proper pelvic hygiene. Use condom in future to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
