What Causes Irregular Periods Along With Thick White Vaginal Discharge?

I am 48 and have had inconsistant periods for over a year now. I am currently having a thick white discharge. I have been sexually active and am experiencing a thick white discharge. I should have gotten my period about a week ago. Could i be pregnant?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As you are 48 years old, you might be facing menopause. Irregular periods are first symptom of approaching menopause. Menopause is a life event in a females life (typically between 40 to 50 years of age) when she stops ovulating & hence her periods stops permanently.
Chances of getting pregnant are less in you. However you should do a Home pregnancy test to rule-out possibility of getting pregnant.
