Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My heart beats irregularly sometimes. It seems to have bad days. It will beat really hard but not necessarily fast just hard. Then it will skip a beat and keep this cycle up for hours or all day some days. Its become more frequent and symptoms have become worse. Today It has been the worst I have ever felt. I also have felt like something has been squeezing my chest and my left arm was hurting. My arms and hands have been very tingly and I am having a pain accompanied with tingliness in the back of my skull on the right side almost mid way up. I think these are symptoms for a heart attack but being that I know somethings wrong with my heart. I am a 32 year old female in pretty good health otherwise. I exercise about 3 to 5 times a week and don t experience any problems during that time. I am scared it could kill me. I know in light of that money shouldn t be an issue. I will be able to go ti the doctor here in about 6 months. I am just seeking some insight to help either ease me or push me to possibly not put it off if anyone thinks this is serious. Like I said its progressed seriously this past year. My sister almost died of mitral valve prolapse and had to have her valve replaced. I wore a halt moniter about 13 years ago but rarely experienced episodes so I have not been diagnosed.

hi irregular heart beats/ skipped beat can be in various conditions like. thyroid variations, cardiac muscle or valve problems, electrolyte imbalance, calcium deficiency, any related pain conditions, usually acute, or some times idiopathic.
it is better you undergo a complete cardiac check up with either holter,or ecg, echocardiography, thyroid profile, electrolytes, x-ray or MRI of the cervical spine, (to rule out for cervical spine problems or neuropathy). all the best take care
