What Causes Involuntary Muscle Contractions In The Biceps And Forearms?

I have been having involuntary muscle contractions in my biceps/upper forearms (both arms) lately. If my elbows are bent for longer than 30 seconds at a time and then I try to straighten them quickly, my arms will involuntarily contract/bounce back to the arms bent position.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sounds to be disturbances in the nerve conduction at a certain point in the biceps which will refer to the forearm region.

The possibility of neuron sheath tumor, neuroma or else can be considered strong and MRI of the concerned area is primary requisite.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
General & Family Physician
