What Causes Intermittent Tremors In The Body Of A Child?

My daughter just had rigors, without a fever. These shaking episodes lasted about three days, on and off. The emergency doctor didn t seem too concerned, only commenting that her blood work, urine sample and chest x-ray were clear. He said that her body was fighting an infection. After about 9 hours we were sent home. She is still weak, but getting stronger each day. Should we call our doctor at this point ?(this is four days after the first episode, so far today she has had no shaking) Could this happen again in the future?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

As you explain the situation yes it might be than during an infection the body reacts with seizures and after the improvement it should not repeated. If yes than it should be better for her to be seen by a neurologist specialist for probably further follow up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
