Hi. I m 25 years old and had the mirena put in a month ago. A week after I had it I started experiencing deep stabbing pains off and on and have had them every day for three weeks now. I had an appointment last week and they did an ultra sound to make sure the mirena was in place... Everything with that was fine, but my test results came back showing I have gardnerella. I ve never even had a bladder infection or anything like this before the mirena. Is this what caused it? I ve been on antibiotics for four days now. The pain isn t as often but is still present. Should I have the mirena removed?
