What Causes Insomnia And Anxiety After Taking Celexa?
I took 2 doses of Celexa (Friday and Saturday) but experienced side effects (insomnia, worsened anxiety, hot/cold etc). I will no longer be taking the medication. Can I take a small dose of propranolol at this point or is there a chance for interaction?

thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. these are all the common side effect of citalopram which celexa contains. but i would like to ask you why propranolol are you on this medication ? if yes i would suggest you to visit your doctor and tell about your side effect. this will help him to change the dose if needed and he may add some other medicine for few days along with celexa to decrease these side effect or he may switch over to other drug.
if you asking to take propranolol for the side effects of celexa then also it is not advisable there are more safer drugs available but best treatment will be to reduce dose or stop drug.
