Started with digestion issues (constipation, bloating, gas) for 12months... then more recently, swelling and pain in left lower abdomen, below ribs after lifting a heavy amount of water. At first pain would throb and send pain to lower back aswell. Dr opinion was IBS or gluten allergy and possible abdomen tare. Awaiting blood results and appointment for ultrasound. This side pain was constant for over a month until I had a flare up or aggravation of the area, 7 days ago, from eating.. ( hard oatmeal cookies)... For a few days now pain passing the hard oats through intestines, similar to bruising as well as some sharpness. However left swelling/pain has seemingly almost stopped. Now a new pain/tightness/tenderness around belly button. Not constant, but strong. Are these symptoms inline with IBS or abdomen tare? I worry it could be a hernia, gallstones, kidney stones or infection of some sort. A what point is the pain to much to continue to wait for an ultrasound appointment and head to an e/r?
