What Causes Indentation Below The Cheek Bone?

at 1pm I was shaving and my face looked normal. at 7pm that night I noticed an indentation on my left cheek just below my cheekbone. I felt around with my tounge and my left cheek feels thinner than my right. I have not had any recent blemishes or injuries to this area. it has since been 24 hours and no further change has occurred physically. The area is not in pain but feels as though it is recovering from pain if that makes any sense.

As per your complain sudden appearance of indentation below the cheek bone can be due to causes like traumatic injury leading to loss of subcutaneous fat,scar shrinkage in the previous injury in the area, muscle spasm due to teeth grinding habit,bug bite etc..
It needs to be evaluated clinically for ruling out the exact cause and treated accordingly..
You should consult an Oral Physician or an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon and get evaluated and a proper examination and investigations like facial x rays can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case of muscle spasm, relaxing the muscles with the help of muscle relaxants as well as proper dental orthodontic appliances can help..
Loss of subcutaneous fat might need dermal fillers..
Other conditions can be treated as per the cause..
