What Causes Increased Usage Of Insulin While On Hydrocodone?

i take insulin for type 1 diabetes, a recent rough coug led my MD to prescribe Hydrocodone / Phenyltoloxamine. Since I stated this cough suppressant pill, it seems my insulin requirements have more than doubled. I had other systems, but the cough was the main issue. Does the codene in the new medicine have adverse side effects to the insulin ?

I really appreciate your concern, the drug that you are taking may not increase the sugar in system but of course if it is the infection then blood sugar level could be increased hope this information helps.
