What Causes Inconsistency In Bowels After A Gall Bladder Surgery?

I had gallbladder removal about a month ago. I first experienced constipation bad. Then things went the other way, no consistance in the stools at all. I have been living on jello and broth. Had a jello and water first thing this morning and I released it like water threw my bowels. Is this normal?

Hello,

If this is the cholecystectomy done, then dyspepsia is part of it and to avoid this you need to be very careful for the diet.

You have to avoid the high calorie contained diet, oily food, fat containing food, heavy meal, it is better to divide the meal in two to three part, such dyspepsia condition may come around after few months.

Beside this it is advisable to rule out the possibility of infection (GI ) or you can even give try with tablet Metronidazole twice in day for five day, this what tentative treatment I used to give to my patient those comes with such complaint and history.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
