What Causes Imbalance In Body?

Hi I am a 67 yr old female. I lose my balance often and can fall over easily. I have had 3 operations within the last 18 months and I was wondering if maybe that is the cause. I had very low blood pressure whilst in hospital however I don t think I have any symptoms of it now.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Low blood pressure can cause loss of balance and falling. If you have a monitor at home, you can check your values when you feel dizzy to see if the levels are low.

Your doctor can also check your blood pressure on a sitting position then on standing to see if there is a drop.
This is called orthostatic hypotension and it maybe a cause.

If your blood pressure is normal then there may be another cause.

The reasons for, type and presence of any complications from the operations would determine if they are playing a role.

I hope this helps
