I totally understand your concerns about your health.
The following points should be taken into consideration
1- Hot flushes
dizziness and fatigue can be due either to hormonal problems such as
hyperthyroidism ( thyroid producing a lot of thyroid hormones) or a side effect from certain blood pressure medications.
2- a thyroid that is overproducing hormones will cause the following symptoms:
Hot flushes
Appetite change (decrease or increase)
Difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
Fatigue.
Frequent bowel movement—perhaps diarrhea.
Heart palpitations.
Heat intolerance.
Increased sweating.
Irritability.
in this case a TSH level and a free T4 level would be helpful to make the diagnosis.
3- Certain blood pressure medications causes
vasodilation and are known for their hot flushes side effects such as calcium channel blockers (
amlodipine, nifidepine... ), and they can lead also to dizziness. I recommend you to see the side effects of the medication you are taking and relate them to your case if applicable. I also recommend you to monitor your blood pressure when you feel these symptoms in order to see if you have either
high blood pressure readings or low blood pressure readings, because both can cause dizziness and feeling that you are going to faint. In such case another medication that you can tolerate should be prescribed.
