Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you should definitely
consult pulmonologist.
By your history and description, possibility of
asthma or
lung infection is more.
Asthma runs in family and you are having positive family history for asthma.
So consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. Chest
x ray.
3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection.
PFT is must for the diagnosis of
bronchitis.
It will also tell you about severity of the disease.
And treatment of asthma is based on severity only.
You may need antibiotics, antihistamines, anti allergic drugs, inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
