What Causes Hives On Body While On Zyrtec?
My son was on Zonegran for seizure prevention and switched to 50 milligrams of Topirimate. His neurologist says the dosage is too low and wants to increase it to 100 mgs. My son had a stroke at 24 last year-healthy, but has scar tissue in his brain. He is a student in college. He hates the side effects of the medication. If he has been on 50 mgs of Topirimate for 4.5 weeks and has had no problems, why does the dosage need to be increased?

Cannot say in his particular case but probably due to blood tests showing an amount in the blood that generally is not the ost therapeutic amount.
