What Causes Hives Every Time After Eating Offending Foods?

Through experience I feel that I have food allergies because every time that I eat the offending food, I break out in hives. I just had skin prick tests and was told that I don t have food allergies....I have a history of food allergies in my family. Should I get a second opinion?

I would recommend that instead of going through the skin testing again that you just avoid those foods that cause your hives. The skin testing would only be useful if you were to start immunotherapy or allergy shots to reduce your reaction. But if avoiding those foods prevents your hives then that is the best way to handle the hives.
