What Causes High Fever Despite Taking Advil?

My husband resently started a new med called. Pantoprazole SOD DR 40 mg tab. Still he took it he has been running a fever of 102- 103.5, chills, dizziness, server headache. I called the Doctor and he said that he feels the conditions are not related to the meds. The fever now has been going on for over 36 hours and doesn t come down much for advil. I m not sure if I should just take him to the er.

The high grade fever is unrelated to the drug Pantoprazole DR. High grade fever can be due to viral infection, or sometimes bacterial infections. Since headache and high fever are danger sign, you must go to emergency to get him admitted.
