What Causes High Blood Levels Despite Medications?
Started taking this med the 1st week of February. Am a diabetic. Within a week my blood sugar tests increased on the average by 15 to 20 points. Just had lab work due to the increase and my a1c results on the average went from 6.3 to 6.9. Does this med affect blood sugar readings.

Blood pressure medication can affect the glycemia level especially beta blockers.
I suggest you maintain under control the glycemic level.
If the symptoms continue you should consider taking alternative medication for your blood level.
