What Causes Hiccups While Suffering From Sore Throat?
hi I have a cold\sore throat and this result me having continuous hiccups for days, stops intermittently. ( this had happened few times over last 10 years now) However non of my GPs, ER doctors manage to explain or find a cure for me. hickups go away in 3-7 days when the throat is not soar any more. then I read about phrenic nerve irritation, which might be the reason my hiccups are showing on when I have soar throats. normal throat gargle does help intermittently but not always, and not permanently till sore throat has run it cause. any medication you can recommend for me?

Hi,
For sore throat with fever, you may require tab. Azithromycin, tab. Tylenol after consultation. Hiccups may be due acidity, kindly continue tab. Pantoprazole. Along with continue Betadine gargling and avoid hot and spicy food. take light and soft food.
