What Causes Hematoma On Lower Buttocks After A Fall?

I have a hematoma that is purplish in color after sustaining a sliding type fall when getting out of my suv with slippers on last night. It is the width of a baseball and a half...it hurts when I sit or lean on it. It s on the left rear cheek towards my midline...should I go to see my pcp?

Yes consultation with a specialist is a must. It is collection of blood and it would settle in due course of time. But infection should be avoided in this type of situation.
