What Causes Hematoma On Buttock After Having Testosterone Injection?
My friend has a large hematoma on left buttock following a Testosterone injection. (Not sure just where on gluteus it was administered)
He has been using Ice pack q 15 min for last 24 hours and it has still enlarged. Very painful.
I advised moist heat packs q few hours for 20 min.
He is on warfarin, well controlled, for a cardiac pacemaker.
Any treatment you could recommend?

hi
this haematoma can go for abcess if neglected.
ultrasound of the local area will help the diagnosis.
warfarin can be stopped for three days with regular check up of the coagulation profile,and then watch for the swelling
if not reduced please get the haematoma or the abcess drained by consulting the surgeon
