What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding After Discontinuing Duromine?

Hi there I had a month of taking duromine (stopped about a fortnight ago) While I was on it I had an extra long period. It came and went and came back again and lasted about 8-10 days. Now I m not on duromine anymore but my period is not 3 days late. ( usually it s 28 day cycle like clockwork) I m on no other medications. Also I have taken a pregnancy test with a negative result. I have symptoms of getting my period. I want to know if duromine may be the reason for a late period and if this is common?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.

* As per my clinical experience, the current bleeding after
discontinuation of Duromine is due to hormone alterations caused by
the medication and it takes around a period cycle time to reestablish
the previous harmony back to normal.

Thanks.
