What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding With Clots While On Contraceptive Pills?

hi dr,i took birthcontrol pills to stop my period after it had started but it ddnt stop at the time i took the pills and i had my normal days ,4 days later now my period has started again and im bleeding heavily with clots..how long will this last and is there a way to stop it

Your symptoms may be due to the pills your are taking. Actually birth control pills are advantageous with few side effects . It includes,
- Spotting inbetween periods
- Breast swelling or tenderness
- weight gain
- Stomach upset & Nausea
- Mood changes, headaches and migraine.

Usually, these side effects will reduce within few months of taking tablets. If still persists, consult your near by gynaecologist for help.
