hi dr,i took birthcontrol pills to stop my period after it had started but it ddnt stop at the time i took the pills and i had my normal days ,4 days later now my period has started again and im bleeding heavily with clots..how long will this last and is there a way to stop it

Your symptoms may be due to the pills your are taking. Actually birth control pills are advantageous with few side effects . It includes, - Spotting inbetween periods - Breast swelling or tenderness - weight gain - Stomach upset & Nausea - Mood changes, headaches and migraine.
Usually, these side effects will reduce within few months of taking tablets. If still persists, consult your near by gynaecologist for help.
