What Causes Heavy Feeling In Chest And Mucus In Throat?
I have a heavy feeling in my chest, a deep type cough whenever I lay down and mucus making my keep clearing my throat. It s been three weeks with an intermittent fever. Should I just wait and it will go away or should I see a doctor to be told its a virus and there is nothing to do???
Understanding your concern. As per your query heavy feeling in chest and mucus in throat is because of lung Infection and bronchitis. I would suggest you to take pseudoepharine containing medicines for congestion but should be taken only after consultation with your doctor. Do warm saline gargles. Take throat lozanges. You should visit pulmonogist once and get it examined clinically. Go for chest X-ray to rule out condition clinically. You have to get pulmonary functions tests checked. You should take combination of antibiotics, inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Take steam inhalation as well. Sip on warm water on frequent basis.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
