What Causes Heavy Bright Red Bleeding With Clots And Pain After Hysterectomy?

Heavy bright red bleeding with clots, three weeks post op after having a hysterectomy after heavy lifting all day. Pain on the inside of the vagina and bladder area. Should I call the doctor. I stand and i can fill the blood coming in. Soaked all through my clothes 30 mi utes after changing.

Hi,

As a first line management you can take drugs like tranexemic acid to control bleeding. If bleeding persists better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. Detailed evaluation is required including an ultrasound scan for further assessment.
