What Causes Heavy And Irregular Menstrual Bleeding After A Cervical Surgery?
I had cervical surgery cause I had bad pap I think it was lazer surgery to remove bad cells but a lot of my cervix I have bleed for almost 5 months my periods where heavy first 3 month plus spotting and blood on other days through each month I bleed more than I don t why would I still bleed on month 5 I don t know if I m on my period cause I bleed so much it brown then red and pink some days it s got skin it looks like in it I have told my doc after my last check up on 3 months still my cervix was not heeled and he gave me pap it come back great but blood still hasn t stop help
As there is severe bleeding after cauterization and removal of bad cervical tissue, that means the inflammation is still going on (though PAP report is normal). After thorough counselling with the patient and necessary evaluation, I recommend the removal of uterus in certain cases for the permanent solution and prevent any future ill effect as of development of carcinoma in situ or else.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
