Hi,
Zoloft is Sertraline in therapeutic class acts as an antidepressants. Zoloft and alcohol are both drugs that interact with brain. You shouldn't drink alcohol while you take it. Even a single drink can interact with your medication and cause unwanted side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, lack of concentration, extreme intoxication, impairment, loss of inhibition, blackouts, violent behaviour etc.
You haven't mentioned here when and how stopping Zoloft. Because stopping abruptly may cause
withdrawal symptoms like irritability, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, rapid heart beat, headache, makes anxiety or depression worse, nightmares etc.
Again, according to ur statement u may suffer from anxiety disorders. Common sign and symptoms of anxiety disorders include-
nervousness,
restlessness, panic attacks,
increased heart rate, breathing difficulties, GIT upset, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, sweating etc. You can take Propranolon for your
rapid heart rate.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
