What Causes Heart Beating Sound In Left Ear?

I have had for about 1 1/2 months a heart beating sound in my left ear. I went to a ENT specialist they said ears are clear, no wax, I have no sinus problems but it s driving me crazy. Doesn t bother me during the day when I up & about but wakes me up at night. Also somtimes the ear feels like it is clogged.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to tinnitus.
Tinnitus is the perception of the heart beating in the ear.
Drugs can't cure tinnitus, but in some cases they may help reduce the severity of symptoms or complications. Possible medications include antidepressants, such as amitriptyline and nortriptyline.
These are prescription medications.
Meanwhile,I suggest to avoid salt in the diet.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
