What Causes Hearing Loss And Vertigo?

My mom had a sudden substantial hearing loss. About a week later she got up and was unsteady on her feet. Took her to the Dr. who said she couldn t find anything. Today she told me that the day she was unsteady her eyesight got really bad. Also, 2 days before she was unsteady and lost some eyesight they took her home oxygen away. She d had home oxygen for over a year using it at night.

Hi,



If there is dizziness then that should be evaluated properly. You have persistent dizziness and if this is resulting of in impairment in functioning then MRI brain should be done to rule out any serious cause.



Betahistine or Cinnarizine can be used on SOS basis to reduce the dizziness. Excessive burping could be due to some cardiac issue. This will go with any good antacid.
