What Causes Headaches, Runny Nose, Drooling And Involuntary Facial Expressions While Treating Hyperthyroidism?

Many years ago I was treated for Graves Disease and hyperthyroidism. My thyroid gland was irradiated and I have been on synthroid ever since. I have never had an increase in dosage and get my bloodwork done as scheduled and it is always good. But really I have not felt good in many years. I have thinning hair, tremors in my hands and cannot really write anymore. My feet are a mess...I have neuropathy in both feet and am not diabetic. Headaches especially in the temples and hairline areas that extend to my eyes. I am considering it might be Hashamotos??? My Dr wants me to have an MRI of the brain. Any ideas? I also have a runny nose for half the day, drool once in a while and some involuntary facial expressions.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it will be due to neurological causes. If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
