What Causes Headaches And Mid Scalp Pain While Having RA?

I have RA and am having headaches and scalp pain in mid- forehead area for last couple of days. I have a blood vessel that just popped up in my forehead yesterday. It is above the left side of my nose, not temporal area. Should I be concerned about temporal arteritis if I am not having pain in temporal area? My headache is in the back of my head.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Popping of temporal artery might be related to changes in underlying vascular pressure from blood pressure alteration, inflammation of vessels as Takayasu or else.

* As there is history of Rheumatoid arthritis present, associated conditions of immune-related issues can not be denied and must be evaluated with a consultant for best possible reasons and management before any worsening outcome has to be faced.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
