What Causes Headaches And Facial Numbness Long After Having Meningioma Removed?
Ten years ago this month my wife had a meningioma completely removed that was benign.Recently she has started experiencing headaches on average of every other day.The right side of her face seems numb.And today for the first time she says the scar from her surgery ten years ago is extremely soar to the touch.She is having an MRI soon.What do you make of this.

The most probable reasons for symptoms you mention in query is nerve dysfunction . There is condition known as bell's palsy ,which occur due to facial nerve dysfunction . The symptoms can also occur due to trigeminal neuralgia . So no need to panic and consult a neurologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order certain test to rule out condition like trigeminal neuralgia , cervical spondolysis , poor blood supply and diabetic neuropathy . Doctor may prescribe drugs according to diagnosis . For now do exercise of facial muscles and their stretching exercises .
