What Causes Headaches And Blurred Vision While On Cialis?

Thank you. I take Lipitor 10 mg. I also take Losartan (Hyzaar 100/25) for blood pressure. I find that when I have too much salt e.g. pickled meat, I get a headache. So I am wondering if you might know how much salt is in a pill of Lipitor and Losartan. I suppose the same question would apply to Cialis 5 mg which also gives me headache as well as temporay blurry eyesight. Thanks again, Sid

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Sid and welcome.

You are close but not accurate Sid. Your headache is due to a blood pressure fluctuation which is caused due to your diet, lifestyle or medications. I would recommend a Holter's device which should be used for about 24 hours or more so that we can monitor and record all your blood pressure fluctuations through your diet, daily routine, sleep, exercise, etc.

Just make sure you record the time for everything you do and experience, including your headaches so that we can tally your headache to your blood pressure reading and accordingly help you to avoid them.

Best wishes.
