Hi,
When you work physically hard, the muscles headache, neck and scalp require more blood to circulate. This can cause the blood vessels to dilate which may lead a condition known as exertional headaches.
Again, working hard causes
profuse sweating which may lead to
hyponatremia (sodium is below normal range) that can lead to headache too. Working too hard is the main cause for exertional headaches. But it has some triggering factors
like dehydration, sunlight,
low blood sugar level, blood pressure issues,
sleep deprivation, alcohol or caffeine consumption may aggravate the exertional headaches.
Treatment depends on causes. You should undergo some investigations like CBC, RBS, S. electrolytes, CT Scan or MRI of brain etc., to find out the causes which are responsible for your symptom and then treat them accordingly. In the meantime, you can take painkillers like Naproxen, Ibuprofen for your headache with avoiding the triggering factors that may make your headache worse.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
