What Causes Headache In The Middle Of Head And Sharp Pain Down The Neck?

Hi... i am getting a headache in the direct center of my head ( a little more to the left though) like if you took a stick and put it horizontally over my ear and another vertically on the top of my head and then where they would connect inside my head is where it hurts... there are bursts of sharp pain that goes down the back of my neck.. what could this be?

Hi welcome to HCM...

According to history some organic cause might be there for headache. ..

The history should be taken regarding ear discharge , visual problem , hypertension history , drug history , nausea , photophobia etc.....

You blood pressure has to be measured and ear examination needed to rule out reffered pain in head ...
If otitis , labyrinthitis like cause present than treated accordingly with antibiotic or antihistaminic ..

If congestive symptom present than benadryl drug , steam inhalation , nasal drop are mode of treatment ...

Take enough sleep and rest ....

Constant working on computer without break not advisable ...

Rule out anemia and B12 level...

If neurological examination suspicious than CT scan done for further work up...
