What Causes Headache, Chest Pain, Throat Pain And Productive Cough?

Hi I have recently developed these symptoms: mild head aches, mild chest pain, mild sore throat, phlegm production needing to force a cough to bring it up, tiredness, and have developed a tremor in my voice. I also become tired much more easily than 6 months ago. I am generally very healthy. 125/65, body temp. norm is 97. I am 73, smoked from 16 to 32. No tobacco since 1976. I can do 90 push-ups, and do inversion, lifting 100 lbs. 24 reps upside-down. I regularly hike several miles with 2 1/2 lb. ankle weights. The air quality where I live is quite good. What s my problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If this is a long history of cough, I think you may be suffering from COPD. You should do a spirometry and an X-ray of the chest soon.
If this just happened recently, it may be a viral bronchitis or pharyngitis.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
