What Causes Headache And Ringing In The Ears?

I ve been experiencing a dull headache, loud ringing in my ears and slight nausea for about a week. I ve also felt off for the last 2-3 days (slight dizziness and mentally fuzzy) Someone suggested I check my blood pressure. I did so at a Kroger pharmacy kiosk and it was 150/96. Should I be concerned? I am 38 years old, female, 5 2 and 196 pounds.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of headache and ringing in the ears which is because of ear infection , TMJ problem or fluctuating blood pressure . It can also occur due to spread of infection through eustachian tube leading to ringing in ears. Need not to worry much. I would advise you to take few preventive measures such as do warm saline gargles on daily basis 3- 4 times a day. Visit ENT specialist once and get complete examination done. Go for blood tests along with that get chest x-ray done. You should go for sputum test as well. You should drink plenty of fluids. Take supplements rich in vitamin B12 to booster immunity. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Take proper antibiotic course such as Levofloxacin for 5-7 days. Take anti-inflammatory drugs such as Sinarest as well. Doctor may also refer you to dentist.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
