Hello Doctor, I am Vijay. 2 weeks before i was sick. I went to vacation on beach resort where i had aqua play and all. After i came back i was really upset with headache and running nose. this was continued by 2 days then i visited doctor and explained the situation, he given some medication but 2 days later it persists with one nose running with white mucus other nose running red color watery stuff. again i just consult with other doctor he put injection and given medicine. now when i split the sputum it seems dark reddish and yellow appeared today. what cause it happens?
Based on the symptoms that you have described, it seems that you have a sinus infection. This happens when the sinuses are blocked because of some bacteria or some other reason. Here are a few things you can try along with the medication: Inhale steam which is infused with eucalyptus oil to help you Also drink a lot of water to prevent dehydration
If you are not taking any antibiotics, you may need to take them. Since the sputum is red in colour, there is a chance that this is a bacterial infection. In this case, you will need to take the right antibiotic.
All the best. Wish you a speedy recovery. Hope this helps you
