What Causes Headache And Blurred Vision While Suffering From Anxiety Disorder?

Hello , I m a 29 year old man that suffers from anxiety disorder and panic attacks.. I m beginning to worry because it seems to be getting worse: I have been to the doctor a hand full of times and have been told my blood work is fine and that its in my head and to see a psychiatrist.. The more research I do I feel I might have a brain aneurysm due to the headaches, blurred vision, had to get words out sometimes and numbness.. What should I do?

Hello,

You have been suffering from anxiety disorder. Anxiety is triggered by stress, trauma, genetic factors, etc. At the time of anxiety attacks people may experience blurry vision or difficulty in focusing. However, blurry vision happen due to pupil dilation and hyperventilation both of which can be triggered due to anxiety attacks.

Blurry vision occurs if alcohol is taken to reduce anxiety. Anxiety causes eye strain, which in turn can lead to blurry vision. Avoid working overtime on your computer, eye strain while on a computer is known to trigger blurry vision symptoms which lead to headache. Get your eyes clinically examined by an Eye specialist. If pathology or vision problem is detected it will be accordingly managed and treated.

You can get connected to a Physical therapist, for cognitive behavioral therapy, it is helpful. Numbness is a sign of developing neurological problems, take food rich in vitamin B6, B12 or take supplements. Get Nerve conduction velocity test, nerve biopsy done. You will be treated accordingly. To get rod of headache, take adequate fluids and water. Do not skip meals, take rest between work, do not overstrain, avoid stress, take adequate sleep at night. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
